Dortmund defender Achraf Hakimi organizes a “Fortnite” tournament. He wants to raise money for families who are suffering badly from the corona crisis.
BVB player Achraf Hakimi grew up in Spain and played at Real Madrid until two years ago. His old home Getafe – a suburb of Madrid – is currently severely affected by the corona virus.
Now he wants to collect donations with a “Fortnite” tournament to help the families affected. Among the participants is football professional Paco Alcacer and Real Madrid keeper Thibaut Courtois.
The athletes will gamble «Fortnite» for a good cause on April 16. The competition will also feature influencers and streamers who will broadcast the tournament live on Twitch. Hakimi wants to achieve the greatest possible range.
The footballer also receives support from Javier Santos, Getafe’s sports council. He says: “The idea is great and shows that despite the fact that he is playing in Germany this year, he doesn’t forget the neighbors with whom he grew up.”
